Our History
How It All Began
The Giovanni-Sacchi Hair Salon
was founded on June 15, 2001 by Giovanni Campanaro, a talented stylist with more than 30 years in the hair business. His experience is mostly in New York City, but he has also worked in Palm Beach, Florida, at the prestigious Colony Hotel and in Beverly Hills, California, for Jose Eber, the famous hairdresser to the stars.
A specialist in highlights and color, Giovanni also does cuts, styles, perms, and Brazilian Keratin. On top of that, the former aspiring actor is quite an entertaining fellow, with his long, braided hair and charming personality.
Sacchi Nishioka is Giovanni's wife of 19 years. She is originally from Tokyo. Sacchi has been a hair stylist for more than two decades, working in New York for the last 16 years. She specializes in the Japanese straight perm, a system of straightening the hair without damage, which is rapidly becoming the rage now all over the world. In addition, she provides color, cuts, styling, and standard perms, as well as the Japanese healing art of Shiatsu massage, to relax you before or after salon services.Owners

Our Salon Concept
At our salon, we strive not just to provide excellent services, but salon décor rooted in bygone days. Sacchi developed our retro theme out of her love for the 1940s and early 1950s, before rock and roll took hold. Items like art deco mirrors, authentic 40s-style hydraulic chairs, and swing or rock-a-billy music, all help to create a unique vibe. Instead of high drama like some other upscale salons, we create a relaxing, home-like atmosphere.
